The LSU Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) is now accepting registrations and contributed posters for the 17th annual Mardi Gras Conference on Computational
Materials and Methods. This conference will bring together researchers and workers in this broad area of computational science to introduce both groups to the current state of the field and future developments, foster information exchange and enable community building.
The Mardi Gras Conference will take place Feb. 10-14, 2010, in the Lod Cook Alumni Center on the LSU campus. The conference will feature tutorial presentations, posters, in-depth discussions, and demonstrations in addition to several invited speakers. The conference will present a selected set of contributed posters as talks in evening poster sessions. As always, the conference concludes with a Saturday afternoon trip to New Orleans for one of the city's largest and most historic Mardi Gras parades, Endymion.
The Mardi Gras Conference registration fee is $400 by Jan. 26, 2010, or $450 for participants who register after that date. A limited amount of travel support of up to $500 per person is available for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who wish to attend the conference. To register, learn more, or submit a poster, please visit www.mardigrasconference.org.
CCT (http://www.cct.lsu.edu) is hosting this conference with support from the LONI Institute (www.institute.loni.org) and the Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (www.i2cam.org).
