Animex 2010

AVATAR will attend the Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games, Feb. 8-12, 2010. This festival takes place every year at Teesside University, in Middlesbrough, northeast England. The festival prides itself on being inclusive and a place where attendees can be educated, inspired and entertained.

At Animex, participants can learn from the foremost in the field and get the chance to meet and discuss the state of the art, see the best professional and student work in the world, do business and have a great time at one of the premiere animation and games events anywhere in the world.

Animex seeks to educate, entertain and inspire at every level – from schoolchildren to the highest level of professional practitioners. Using a unique blend of talks, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and awards, Animex brings the world of animation and computer games to audiences from any background. It is a collaboration and sharing that aim to make this event one that can be enjoyed by anybody, from anywhere regardless of background and prior knowledge.

Animex was the inspiration for and is the sister festival of LSU’s own Red Stick International Animation Festival. Animex’s co-creators, Chris Williams and Dougy Pincott, travel to Baton Rouge annually to participate in Red Stick and host lectures or workshops for the guests.
